A conical burr grinder is recommended because it produces a more consistent, even grind with less heat generation compared to flat burrs, resulting in a smoother, more balanced flavor profile.
Also being more affordable and quieter than flat burr grinders; however, some coffee enthusiasts may prefer the sharper flavor separation achieved with flat burrs depending on their taste and brewing method. Here at The Shed, we use the conical burr version.
